Serving our communities

For over 37 years, Washington Cathedral’s mission has been to love our community as genuinely and practically as we possibly can. That mission hasn’t changed!  We recognize that we are a “regional” church, meaning our weekend attendees come from a vast variety of cities and neighborhoods.

We want to extend the Washington Cathedral family and more importantly, Jesus into your neighborhoods. Local ministries help build consistent relationships with our community.

Why do we do this? It’s simple! We believe that God’s plan for the Church is to be a movement and not a building!

Our church comes together to serve the greater King County by collecting non-perishable foods to donate to Hopelink.

Many small groups and individuals regularly participate in serving meals to the residents of Tent City 4 and have built relationships with the wonderful people they serve. Other ways to serve are through providing fuel resources for heating.
